I've always sought the perfect outlet for my creativity so when my husband gave me a digital camera for my birthday in 2006 I ran with it. At first it was snapping pictures of flowers or sunsets but I'll never forget the moment when I photographed my nephew's daughter when we took her to the Cape May Zoo. I didn't pose her or ask her to smile I just photographed her. The results melted my heart and I was hopelessly addicted to photography.

Today I can look at this picture and find a lot of technical flaws as well as wish I had the camera I own now on that day. However I choose to look at it for what it is. A beautiful capture of Alyssa being Alyssa. She's got 3 younger siblings now and they've all become quite accustomed to having Aunt Bet take their photo. I've captured the smiles of more kids, brides, married couples celebrating anniversaries and the beauty of Moms-to-Be as they await the arrival of their little ones. It's always hard for me to choose photos for the website because I think that everyone I photograph is amazingly beautiful or handsome.
